People who do hand crafts have to work ahead quite a while so they can sell them before the holiday the object celebrates. I worked hard on these decorations for Halloween. These pieces finally convinced me that I could do a good job on the scroll saw work, have a nice looking project, and ruin it by putting paint on it. Then it instantly looks like a third grader did it. So I do not, in general, put paint on anything I do. I try to use wood the color I need and do the colors with inlay. You can get wood in any color but blue. It might be very expensive, but there are woods with an amazing array of colors. Just not blue. That you have to stain, which is easier than painting for me. Anyway, this is kinda kitchy and not the kind of thing I do now a days. If you want decent Halloween decorations, check out Halloween Corner. They have much better stuff than this.
